Humidifier water tank leaks when removed or when installed

Safety: Unplug and remove the tank. Mop up any spilled water.

Steps:

• Inspect tank: Look for visible cracks or splits. Replace the tank if damaged.
• Check cap and seal: Remove the tank cap, inspect the rubber gasket for deformation or wear. Replace if hardened or cracked.
• Test valve: Fill the tank and hold it over a sink. If water leaks from the outlet without pressing the valve, the valve is faulty and the tank should be replaced.
• Reinstall carefully: Ensure the tank sits flat and engages the base seal properly.
