Possible Causes
Drifted humidity sensor, Sensor contaminated by smoke or chemicals, Loose sensor connector, Faulty main PCB A/D converter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit.
- Clean environment: If the unit has been used in a smoky or chemical‑laden environment, relocate it and gently clean the intake area. Contaminants can affect sensor accuracy.
- Inspect sensor module: Locate the humidity sensor and check for physical damage or heavy dust. Blow off dust with dry air.
- Reseat connector: Disconnect and reconnect the sensor harness at both ends.
- Replace sensor: If F1 persists and humidity readings are clearly wrong, install a new Panasonic humidity sensor module.
- PCB replacement: If a new sensor does not resolve F1, the main PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
