Possible Causes
Failed humidity sensor module, Disconnected sensor harness, Sensor contaminated by dust or chemicals, Faulty main PCB A/D input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit.
- Locate humidity sensor: Typically mounted near the air intake grille or on the control panel, with a small multi‑wire harness to the PCB.
- Inspect and reseat: Check the sensor module for physical damage. Reseat the connector on both the sensor and PCB ends.
- Clean sensor area: Gently blow away dust with dry compressed air. Do not use liquid cleaners on the sensor element.
- Compare readings: After reassembly, power on and compare the displayed humidity to a known good hygrometer. Large discrepancies or H27 recurrence indicate a bad sensor.
- Replace sensor module: Install a Panasonic‑specified humidity sensor assembly. If a new sensor does not resolve the error, the main PCB is likely at fault.
