Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between user interface board and main control board, Damaged communication harness, Oxidized connectors, Faulty display PCB or main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel or covers.
- Access control panel: Remove the front/top panel screws to access the display/control PCB.
- Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon or multi-wire harness connecting the display PCB to the main PCB. Ensure both ends are fully seated and locked.
- Inspect for damage: Look for kinks, cuts, or burn marks on the cable. Replace if damaged.
- Clean connectors: Gently unplug and reinsert the connectors several times to wipe oxidation from the contacts. Use electronic contact cleaner if available.
If E6 remains, either the display PCB or main PCB may be defective. Board-level diagnosis is complex; replacement is usually done by a service technician.
