Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier. Do not touch the transducer while powered.
- Inspect transducer: Remove the water tank to expose the ultrasonic transducer in the base (a small metal disc). Check for white scale or cracks.
- Descale: If scaled, apply a small amount of white vinegar to the disc and let sit for 5–10 minutes. Gently wipe with a soft cloth or cotton swab. Do not use sharp tools.
- Rinse and dry: Wipe away all vinegar and moisture before reassembling.
If F2 persists and the transducer does not vibrate (no visible mist when tested briefly), the transducer or its driver circuit is likely defective. Replacement of the transducer module or main PCB is required and is best done by a Philips service technician.
