Possible Causes

Failed digital humidity sensor, Loose or corroded humidity sensor connector, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Faulty humidity measurement circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel or covers.

Steps to address E3:

  • Power cycle: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E3 reappears, proceed.
  • Access the control panel: Remove screws securing the top control panel. Carefully lift it to expose the main PCB and wiring.
  • Locate the humidity sensor: On many Pro Breeze dehumidifiers, the humidity sensor is a small module near the air intake or behind the front grille, connected to the PCB by a small harness. It may be labeled as “RH” or “HUMI”.
  • Inspect connections: Ensure the humidity sensor plug is fully seated. Look for corrosion, moisture, or broken pins. Clean light oxidation with contact cleaner and a soft brush.
  • Check for physical damage: If the sensor housing is cracked, water-damaged, or missing, it should be replaced.
  • Replace the sensor: Order a compatible Pro Breeze humidity sensor module for your model. Disconnect the old sensor, install the new one in the same location, and route the wiring as originally installed.
  • Test operation: Reassemble the control panel, restore power, and set a humidity level. If E3 persists, the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
