Possible Causes
Communication failure between display PCB and main PCB, Loose ribbon cable or harness between boards, Corrupted control firmware, Failed main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dehumidifier before opening the control panel.
Steps to troubleshoot E7:
- Power reset: Unplug for 10–15 minutes to fully discharge internal capacitors, then reconnect. If E7 returns immediately, continue.
- Access control electronics: Remove screws securing the top control panel. Carefully lift it to expose the display PCB and the main control PCB (sometimes combined on one board).
- Check interconnect cables: Locate any ribbon cables or multi-pin harnesses between the display and main board. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Inspect for damage: Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or corrosion on either PCB. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
- Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation or water ingress around the control panel, gently dry the area with a cloth and allow the unit to air dry for several hours before reassembly.
- Board replacement: If E7 persists and wiring is intact, replace the main control PCB (and display PCB if separate) with the correct Pro Breeze part for your model.
- Firmware issues: Some models may require a firmware update or board initialization procedure; consult Pro Breeze technical documentation or support.
