Possible Causes

Humidity sensor reading out of calibration, Sensor contaminated by dust or chemicals, Loose sensor connector, Faulty main PCB ADC circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.

Steps to address E8:

  • Reset and relocate: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then plug in and test in a different room to rule out extreme environmental conditions (steam, chemical vapors).
  • Clean air path: Remove and clean the air filter. Vacuum dust from the intake grille where the humidity sensor samples air.
  • Access humidity sensor: Remove the front or top cover to locate the humidity sensor module near the air intake path.
  • Inspect and clean: Check for heavy dust buildup on the sensor. Use compressed air or a soft brush to gently clean it. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the sensor.
  • Check connector: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated on the PCB and that wires are not damaged.
  • Replace sensor if needed: If E8 persists, install a new Pro Breeze humidity sensor module compatible with your model.
  • Control board check: If a new sensor does not resolve E8, the main control PCB may be misreading the sensor and require replacement.
