Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.

Possible Causes
Low refrigerant charge due to leak, Blocked condenser coil, Failed compressor, Faulty evaporator temperature sensor misreading coil temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing panels. Do not attempt to open or recharge the sealed refrigerant system yourself.
Steps to troubleshoot EC:
- Clean air filter and coils: Remove and wash the air filter. With panels removed, gently vacuum dust from the condenser coil (warm coil near compressor) and evaporator coil (cold coil near intake).
- Check airflow: Ensure nothing blocks intake or exhaust. Poor airflow can mimic a cooling fault.
- Observe coil behavior: After reassembly, plug in and run the unit for 10–15 minutes. If EC appears and the evaporator coil never gets uniformly cold or only a small section frosts, there may be a refrigerant issue.
- Sensor check: Verify the evaporator temperature sensor is properly attached and wired (see E2). Replace if faulty.
- Compressor check: Listen for the compressor starting (a low humming sound) and feel for vibration. If the compressor never starts or cycles rapidly, the start relay or compressor may be defective.
- Professional service: If cleaning and sensor checks do not resolve EC, the unit likely has a sealed system problem (leak, restriction, or compressor failure). Contact a qualified refrigeration technician or Pro Breeze support; sealed system repairs are not DIY-friendly.
