Possible Causes
Water tank full, Misaligned water tank, Faulty bucket full float switch, Blocked continuous drain hose causing backup
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always unplug the unit before reaching inside the bucket compartment.
Steps to resolve P2:
- Empty and reseat the tank: Remove the water tank, empty it completely, and reinstall it firmly, ensuring it is fully inserted and level.
- Check float mechanism: Inside the tank or tank compartment, locate the float that triggers the bucket full switch. Make sure it moves freely and is not stuck by dirt or scale.
- Inspect bucket full switch: With the tank removed and the unit unplugged, locate the bucket full float switch (often a small microswitch or magnetic reed switch). Check that the actuator moves when the float is raised and lowered.
- Test the switch (if you have a meter): Disconnect the switch and check continuity while actuating it. Replace if it does not change state.
- Continuous drain users: If using a hose, ensure it is not kinked or blocked and that it slopes downward to a drain. A backed-up hose can cause the tank to fill and trigger P2.
- Replace faulty parts: If the float is damaged or the switch fails testing, replace with a compatible Pro Breeze bucket full float and switch assembly.
