Possible Causes

Corrupted control board firmware, Loose ribbon cable between display board and main PCB, Failed display/control PCB, Power surge damage to electronics

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel. Avoid static discharge to circuit boards.

  • Power cycle: Unplug the dehumidifier for 15 minutes, then plug it back in. Try operating in a different outlet to rule out power issues.
  • Inspect control connections: Remove the top/control panel cover. Check the ribbon cable or harness between the display board and main control board. Reseat connectors firmly.
  • Check for moisture: Look for signs of water intrusion or condensation on the control board. If present, allow the unit to dry completely in a warm, dry room for 24 hours before retesting.
  • Surge protection: If E7 appeared after a storm or power event, the board may be damaged. Future use should be through a surge protector.
  • Board replacement: If E7 persists, replace the main control PCB (and display PCB if separate) with Pure Enrichment–specified parts. Label and transfer all connectors one by one to avoid miswiring.
