Possible Causes
Stuck bucket float, Misaligned water bucket, Failed bucket full micro switch or reed switch, Broken float magnet or linkage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the bucket or accessing internal switches.
- Empty and reseat bucket: Remove the water bucket, empty it completely, and reinstall it firmly. Make sure it is pushed fully into place and sits level.
- Check float movement: Inside the bucket, locate the plastic float assembly. Move it up and down; it should move freely and drop fully when the bucket is empty. Clean any mineral buildup or slime that may cause sticking.
- Inspect float switch: With the bucket removed, locate the bucket full switch on the chassis (often a small lever or magnetic reed switch). Ensure it is not bent or obstructed.
- Test with bucket removed: Gently actuate the switch by hand (or with a magnet for reed types) while the unit is plugged in and turned on. If the FL icon changes state, the switch is working and the issue is bucket alignment.
- Replace float or switch: If the switch does not respond, replace the bucket float assembly or bucket full switch with Pure Enrichment–compatible parts. Disconnect power, remove mounting screws, swap the part, and reconnect wiring.
