How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning or opening panels.
- Check ambient temperature: Ensure the room is not excessively hot (above ~95°F / 35°C). Move the unit to a cooler area if needed.
- Improve ventilation: Provide at least 8–12 inches of clearance around the unit. Do not operate it inside a closet or enclosed space.
- Clean filter and vents: Remove and clean the air filter. Vacuum dust from intake and exhaust grilles.
- Sensor check: If HI appears in a normal-temperature room, inspect the ambient temperature sensor and wiring. Replace the sensor if it is damaged or reading incorrectly.
