Possible Causes

Burned-out fan motor, Obstruction in fan wheel, Loose fan motor connector, Failed fan driver circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing covers or touching the fan.

  • Check for obstructions: Remove the front or rear grille and inspect the fan wheel for debris or objects that may be blocking rotation. Remove any obstruction.
  • Spin test: Gently spin the fan by hand. If it is stiff or does not turn freely, the motor bearings may be seized.
  • Inspect wiring: Follow the fan motor wires to the control board and ensure the connector is secure and undamaged.
  • Test operation: Reassemble and briefly power on. If the fan still does not start, the motor is likely faulty.
  • Replace fan motor: Order a Pure Enrichment–compatible fan motor assembly. Unplug the unit, remove the housing, unbolt the motor bracket, transfer the fan wheel if necessary, install the new motor, and reconnect wiring.
