Possible Causes

Stuck float in base, Mineral buildup on float magnet or reed switch, Misaligned water tank not depressing level switch, Failed water level sensor or reed switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and remove the tank before working on the base.

  • Verify tank seating: Ensure the tank is correctly oriented and fully seated on the base. Some models require the tank to press down on a switch or align a magnet with a reed sensor.
  • Clean float assembly: If your model has a visible float in the base, gently lift it and check for free movement. Clean any mineral deposits or slime with vinegar solution and rinse.
  • Clean sensor area: For magnetic reed switches, wipe the area around the sensor and float magnet. Do not use abrasive tools.
  • Test without tank: With the unit unplugged, manually move the float or actuate the switch and listen for a click. If it feels stuck or does not click, the switch may be faulty.
  • Replace float or switch: If cleaning does not restore normal operation, replace the float assembly or water level reed switch with a Pure Enrichment–compatible part.
