How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before checking power connections or opening the base.
- Check water level and airflow: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated. Confirm that air vents are not blocked and the unit is not overheating.
- Test with another outlet: Plug the humidifier into a different outlet to rule out power fluctuations.
- Inspect adapter and cord: For external adapters, check for kinks, frays, or loose plugs. Replace the adapter if it feels hot or if wiggling the cord affects mist output.
- Internal connector check: If comfortable opening the base (unplugged), verify that the connectors from the power jack to the main PCB and from the PCB to the transducer module are firmly seated.
- Replace adapter or transducer module: If intermittent operation continues, replace the AC adapter first. If that fails, the ultrasonic transducer/driver module may need replacement.
