Possible Causes
Open or shorted ambient NTC sensor, sensor harness unplugged, damaged sensor wiring, failed sensor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dehumidifier before any internal inspection.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and test.
- Check ambient conditions: Ensure the unit is used within the specified temperature range (often 5–35°C). Very low temperatures can cause sensor errors.
- Inspect sensor location: The ambient sensor is usually clipped near the air intake. Make sure it is not covered by dust or blocked by curtains or furniture.
- Internal check: If you can open the front panel, verify the sensor plug is firmly connected to the main PCB and that the wires are not cut or pinched.
- If E1 persists: Replace the ambient temperature sensor assembly or have a technician test and replace it.
