Safety: Unplug the unit before inspection. Do not insert fingers into the fan area.

Check placement: Ensure the humidifier is on a stable, level surface away from walls or objects that can vibrate.
Inspect for objects: Remove the tank and any accessible covers. Look for foreign objects (plastic, paper) near the fan and remove them.
Clean fan: Use a vacuum and soft brush to remove dust from the fan blades and surrounding area.
Tighten screws: If you can access the fan bracket, gently tighten any loose mounting screws.
Persistent noise: If the noise is a grinding or high-pitched squeal, the fan motor bearings may be failing and the fan motor assembly should be replaced.
