Possible Causes
Mineral buildup on ultrasonic membrane, low water level in basin, defective ultrasonic transducer, failed atomizer driver circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank before cleaning.
- Check water level: Ensure the tank is filled and properly seated so that water flows into the basin.
- Clean the membrane: Locate the ultrasonic membrane at the bottom of the basin. Soak a cloth or cotton swab in white vinegar and gently wipe the membrane to remove scale. Then wipe with clean water and dry.
- Use softer water: Switch to distilled or demineralized water to reduce future mineral buildup.
- Test operation: Reassemble, fill the tank, and run the unit. If there is still no mist and you hear no gentle buzzing from the atomizer, the transducer or driver circuit may be faulty.
- Advanced repair: Replacing the atomizer assembly requires opening the base and disconnecting the atomizer wiring from the PCB. If you are not experienced with appliance repair, contact a technician.
