Possible Causes
Humidity set too high or room already dry, Faulty humidity sensor reading too low, Failed compressor relay on main PCB, Defective compressor or start device
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before internal checks.
Steps:
- Check settings: Set the target humidity to a low value (e.g. 40%) and select continuous mode if available. Allow several minutes for the compressor to start.
- Verify room humidity: Use a separate hygrometer. If the room is already dry (below setpoint), the compressor will not run.
- Humidity sensor: If the display shows an unrealistically low humidity, the humidity sensor module may be faulty. Replace it.
- Listen for relay click: When the compressor should start, listen for a click from the main PCB. No click may indicate a failed relay or PCB.
- Check compressor start device: Follow the E6 procedure to test the compressor and start relay/PTC. Replace faulty parts.
