Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware or EEPROM data, Power surge damage to main PCB, Manufacturing defect in control board memory
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before any disassembly.
Steps:
- Hard reset: Unplug the dehumidifier for at least 15 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge. Plug back in and test.
- Check power quality: Ensure the unit is not connected through a faulty extension lead or unstable power source. Try a different wall socket.
- Surge protection: If F0 appeared after a storm or power cut, the PCB may have been damaged by a surge.
- Replace main PCB: There is no user‑serviceable way to reprogram the EEPROM. Replace the main control PCB with the correct Russell Hobbs spare part. Transfer all connectors one by one to avoid mis‑wiring.
