Humidifier produces an unpleasant or mouldy smell

Safety: Unplug before cleaning. Do not mix bleach with vinegar or other cleaners.

Steps:

• Empty and clean: Empty the tank and base. Wash with warm soapy water. For disinfection, use a diluted bleach solution (per manufacturer guidance) or white vinegar, then rinse thoroughly.
• Clean transducer and channels: Gently clean the ultrasonic transducer and water channels to remove biofilm.
• Drying: Allow all parts to dry fully before reassembly.
• Maintenance: Change water daily and deep‑clean the humidifier at least weekly during heavy use.
