Possible Causes
Empty or incorrectly seated water tank, Failed ultrasonic transducer disc, Faulty water level sensor, Mineral scale buildup on transducer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier before cleaning or disassembly. Do not run the unit without water.
Steps:
- Check water level: Ensure the tank is filled and properly seated on the base so that the valve opens.
- Clean transducer: Remove the tank and locate the ultrasonic transducer in the base. Gently clean the disc with a cotton bud dipped in white vinegar to remove scale. Do not scratch the surface.
- Water level sensor: Some models have a float or electronic sensor. Ensure the float moves freely and the sensor is clean.
- Test after cleaning: Refill and restart. If there is still no mist, the transducer or its driver circuit on the PCB may have failed. Replace the ultrasonic transducer module or the humidifier main PCB as a complete assembly, depending on design.
