Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord or plug, Failed SMPS power supply on control board, Defective main power switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before opening. Mains voltage and charged capacitors can be dangerous.

Steps:

  • Check outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Verify any power strip is switched on.
  • Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the cord set if damaged.
  • Check main switch: Ensure the power button or rocker switch is not physically broken. Test continuity across the switch when turned on.
  • Internal fuse: Access the main PCB and locate the fuse (often a glass or ceramic fuse near the AC input). Test with a multimeter and replace with the same rating if blown. Investigate for short circuits before replacing.
  • SMPS check: If the fuse is good but no low-voltage output is present, the switching power supply section of the PCB may be defective and the entire board should be replaced.

Warning: If the new fuse blows immediately, stop and seek professional service; there is likely a serious short.
