Possible Causes
Any NTC sensor (ambient, evaporator, water temperature) disconnected, Sensor shorted due to moisture, Incorrect sensor type installed, Damaged sensor harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Sencor unit before inspection.
Steps:
- Identify sensors: Refer to the service manual or internal labeling to locate all NTC sensors (ambient, coil, water tank, etc.).
- Check connections: One by one, inspect each sensor connector on the main PCB. Ensure they are firmly seated and not swapped between sockets.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or water around sensor connectors, especially near the water tank area. Dry thoroughly and apply contact cleaner if needed.
- Resistance check: Measure each sensor's resistance at room temperature. Any sensor reading open circuit or near zero ohms should be replaced.
- Replace faulty sensor: Install the correct Sencor sensor assembly for the specific location and model.
Note: If all sensors test correctly, the main PCB's sensor reading circuit may be defective.
