Possible Causes
Seized or obstructed fan, Failed DC fan motor, Loose fan connector on PCB, Fan driver circuit failure on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier before accessing the fan.
Steps:
- Check for obstructions: Remove the top cover to access the fan. Clear any dust, hair, or foreign objects blocking the blades.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. It should spin freely. If stiff or grinding, the motor bearings may be worn.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan connector is firmly seated on the PCB and wires are intact.
- Replace fan: If the fan does not run when the unit is powered and commanded on, replace the Sencor fan motor assembly with the correct voltage and size.
Note: A non-running fan can cause overheating and further damage; do not continue to operate the unit with F4.
