Defrost Mode Active / Low Temperature Protection
Dehumidifier shows P1 and does not start dehumidifying

Possible Causes
Room temperature below operating range, Evaporator coil heavily frosted, Faulty evaporator temperature sensor reading too low, Blocked airflow causing coil to freeze
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit if you need to access internal components.
Steps:
- Check room temperature: Ensure the room is within the Sencor dehumidifier's specified operating range (typically above 5–7°C). Move the unit to a warmer room if necessary.
- Inspect for frost: Look through the grille at the evaporator coil. If it is covered in ice, turn the unit off and allow it to defrost completely.
- Clean filter: Remove and clean the air filter to improve airflow.
- Sensor check: If P1 appears even in a warm room with no frost, test the evaporator NTC sensor as described under E2 and replace if faulty.
Note: P1 may clear automatically once the unit completes a defrost cycle and the coil temperature rises.
