Possible Causes
Full water tank, Misaligned water bucket, Stuck bucket float, Faulty bucket full microswitch, Broken bucket switch lever
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier before removing the water bucket.
Steps:
- Empty bucket: Remove the water tank and empty it completely. Check for cracks or deformation that might prevent proper seating.
- Reinstall correctly: Slide the bucket back in firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it is not tilted.
- Check float and switch: Locate the bucket float and microswitch assembly inside the bucket compartment. Make sure the float moves freely and actuates the switch lever.
- Test switch: With a multimeter, test the bucket full switch for proper open/close operation as the float moves. Replace the switch if it remains stuck in one state.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the bucket switch wiring harness is intact and connected to the main PCB.
Tip: If using continuous drain mode, ensure the drain hose is not kinked or blocked, which can cause the bucket to fill unexpectedly.
