Possible Causes
Failed humidity sensor near air outlet, sensor wiring damage, contamination from mineral dust, failed sensor circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Sharp humidifier before opening the housing.
Steps:
- Clean dust: Mineral dust from hard water can coat the humidity sensor. Use a soft brush or dry compressed air to clean around the sensor opening.
- Locate sensor: It is usually near the air outlet or intake grille, connected by a small harness to the control PCB.
- Inspect and reseat: Check the sensor module and wiring for damage. Reseat the connector on the PCB.
- Replace sensor: If H1 persists, install a new humidity sensor module specified for your Sharp humidifier model.
Note: Avoid using harsh cleaners or spraying water directly into the outlet; this can damage the sensor.
