Possible Causes

Failed internal condensate pump, blocked pump discharge hose, stuck float switch in pump reservoir, pump wiring fault to main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit. Water may spill when opening the pump compartment.

Steps:

  • Check hose routing: Ensure the pump discharge hose is not kinked, elevated too high, or blocked at the outlet.
  • Inspect pump reservoir: Access the pump tray (often behind a small cover). Remove debris, slime, or scale that may jam the float or impeller.
  • Float switch: Move the float up and down by hand; it should move freely and click the switch. Clean if sticky.
  • Test pump: With the unit reassembled and using caution, power on and listen for the pump when the reservoir fills. If it hums but does not move water, the pump may be seized.
  • Replace pump assembly: Install a new condensate pump assembly if the pump motor or float switch is defective.

Tip: Regularly flush the pump and hose with clean water to prevent biofilm buildup.
