How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and allow all ice to melt completely before further operation.
- Check room temperature: Ensure the room is within the recommended operating range. Running a dehumidifier in a cold room will cause icing.
- Clean filter and coils: Wash the air filter and vacuum dust from the evaporator coil to restore airflow.
- Verify fan speed: Confirm the fan runs strongly. A weak fan can cause icing; replace the fan motor if it is slow or noisy.
- Sensor check: Inspect and test the evaporator NTC sensor. A faulty sensor can prevent proper defrost cycles and should be replaced.
