Possible Causes
Stuck float in water bucket, Faulty float switch or reed sensor, Misaligned bucket, Dirty or scaled water level sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the water tank.
- Check bucket position: Remove the water tank and reinstall it firmly, ensuring it is fully seated and the float arm engages the internal switch correctly.
- Inspect float: On Stadler Form dehumidifiers, the float is usually inside the bucket or in a small chamber. Make sure it moves freely up and down. Clean any slime, scale, or debris with warm soapy water and rinse well.
- Test float switch: With the bucket removed, locate the float switch or magnetic reed sensor inside the unit. Manually actuate it with a non-metallic tool and listen for a click. If the switch does not change state (unit still shows tank full), it may be defective.
- Check wiring: Inspect the wires from the float switch to the control board for damage or loose connectors.
- Replace sensor: If the float switch or reed sensor is faulty, replace it with the correct Stadler Form water level sensor assembly. Ensure the new part is mounted in the same orientation.
