Possible Causes
Blocked fan wheel, Failed fan motor, Loose fan connector, Obstructed air path causing fan stall
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Beware of sharp metal edges and fan blades.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the front or rear cover to access the fan. Look for plastic bags, insulation, or wiring contacting the fan blades. Remove any obstruction.
- Spin test: Gently spin the fan by hand. It should rotate freely without grinding. If it is stiff or seized, the motor bearings may have failed.
- Clean fan and housing: Use a brush and vacuum to remove dust from the fan blades and surrounding shroud. Heavy buildup can unbalance the fan and overload the motor.
- Inspect wiring: Confirm the fan motor connector is fully seated on the main PCB. Check for burnt or discolored wires.
- Replace fan motor: If the motor does not run when powered and E8 persists, replace the fan motor assembly with a Stadler Form-compatible part. Transfer the fan blade carefully to avoid cracking it.
