Possible Causes
Incorrect mains voltage, Internal SMPS power board failure, Loose power cord connection, Blown internal fuse
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening. Internal capacitors can hold charge; avoid touching the primary side of the power board.
- Verify outlet: Confirm the wall outlet voltage matches the rating on the Stadler Form nameplate (e.g., 220–240 V or 120 V). Avoid using long undersized extension cords.
- Check power cord: Inspect the cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Ensure it is firmly plugged into both the outlet and the unit (if detachable).
- Internal fuse: Remove the housing to access the power input board. Locate the glass or ceramic fuse near the power entry. If blown, replace only with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a deeper fault.
- Power board inspection: Look for bulging capacitors, burnt components, or cracked solder joints on the power supply board. If present, replace the entire power board.
- Professional service: If you are not experienced with mains electronics, do not attempt board-level repair. Replace the power module or contact a service technician.
