Possible Causes
Seized fan motor, Disconnected fan harness, Failed fan driver transistor on PCB, Obstruction preventing fan start
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the cover and ensure nothing is blocking the fan blades.
- Inspect wiring: Confirm the fan motor connector is firmly plugged into the control board.
- Spin test: Try spinning the fan by hand. If it is stiff or does not move freely, the motor is likely defective and should be replaced.
- Electrical test: If you are comfortable with a multimeter, check for voltage at the fan connector when the unit is on. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the fan motor. If no voltage, the control board fan driver may be faulty.
