Possible Causes
Scaled or cracked ultrasonic membrane, Failed transducer driver circuit, Insufficient water contacting the transducer, Mineral buildup on transducer surface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the tank before working on the base.
- Check water level: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated so water flows into the base chamber and covers the transducer disc.
- Clean transducer: Locate the round metal disc in the base. Soak the area with a 1:1 vinegar-water solution for 20–30 minutes to dissolve limescale. Gently wipe with a soft cotton swab. Do not scratch the disc with hard tools.
- Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the base with clean water to remove vinegar and loosened scale.
- Test operation: Refill and restart. If there is still no mist but the fan runs, the transducer or its driver circuit may have failed.
- Replace transducer module: Many Stadler Form ultrasonic units use a replaceable transducer module or base assembly. Replace with the correct part, ensuring all seals and gaskets are properly seated to prevent leaks.
