Safety: Unplug before opening the housing.

Steps:

Check mist control: Ensure any adjustable mist output control or directional nozzle is fully open.
Transducer check: Look into the water chamber while the unit is on (for a brief moment). If there is no agitation or fine bubbling at the transducer, it may not be operating. Then unplug and proceed.
Clean and inspect: Clean the transducer and mist channel as described in earlier entries.
Internal ducting: If comfortable, open the housing and verify that the mist duct is properly connected between the water chamber and outlet.
Board/transducer replacement: If airflow is good but no mist is generated, replace the ultrasonic transducer. If that fails, the main control board may be defective.
