Humidifier leaks water from the base onto the table or floor

Safety: Unplug the humidifier and move it to a sink or waterproof surface before inspection.

Steps:

• Tank inspection: Remove the tank, fill it over a sink, and check for leaks from seams or the bottom. Replace the water tank if cracked.
• Cap and gasket: Inspect the tank cap and rubber gasket for wear, cracks, or deformation. Replace the tank cap gasket if it does not seal properly.
• Base reservoir: With the tank removed, add a small amount of water to the base reservoir and check for leaks. A cracked base may require replacing the entire base assembly.
• Proper seating: Ensure the tank sits flat and fully engages the base valve.
