Possible Causes
Empty or improperly seated water tank, Scaled ultrasonic transducer, Failed transducer driver circuit, Blocked mist outlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the tank before inspection.
Steps:
- Tank check: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated on the base. Verify that any spring-loaded valve at the bottom of the tank opens when installed.
- Transducer cleaning: Inspect the ultrasonic transducer disc in the base. Clean mineral deposits with a vinegar soak as described in the F1 entry.
- Mist outlet: Check the mist nozzle and outlet path for blockages. Clean with warm water and a soft brush.
- Driver failure: If the transducer is clean and the tank is seated but there is still no mist, the ultrasonic transducer or its driver circuit on the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
