Dehumidifier is very noisy during operation (rattling, buzzing, or grinding)

Safety: Unplug before tightening or adjusting components.

Steps:

• Level the unit: Ensure the dehumidifier is on a flat, solid surface. Adjust feet if provided.
• Inspect fan assembly: Remove the cover and check that the fan wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft. Tighten set screws or clips as needed.
• Check motor bearings: Spin the fan by hand and listen for grinding. Replace the fan motor assembly if noisy.
• Compressor mounts: Inspect the rubber compressor mounting grommets. Replace if cracked or missing.
• Secure panels: Tighten all cabinet screws. Add thin foam tape between rattling panels if necessary.
