Dehumidifier leaks water onto the floor

Safety: Unplug the unit. Dry any spilled water to avoid slipping or electrical hazards.

Steps:

• Inspect bucket: Remove the water tank/bucket and check for cracks or holes. Replace if damaged.
• Check bucket seating: Ensure the bucket is fully inserted and level. Misalignment can cause water to bypass the tank.
• Clean drain channel: Access the internal drain trough and outlet above the bucket. Flush with warm water and a small brush to remove slime or debris.
• Continuous drain setup: If using a hose, ensure it is firmly attached to the drain outlet and slopes downward with no kinks. Use Teflon tape on threads if needed to prevent leaks.
• Test: Run the unit and observe where water emerges to pinpoint the leak source.
