Safety: Unplug the unit before opening. If you are not experienced with mains voltage, seek professional help.
Steps:
- Check outlet: Test the wall outlet with another appliance to confirm power is present.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the power cord set if damaged.
- Access PCB: Remove the rear or side panel to access the main control PCB. Locate the onboard fuse (often a glass or ceramic fuse).
- Test/replace fuse: With a multimeter, check continuity of the fuse. If blown, replace with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a short in the unit that must be diagnosed.
- Inspect for damage: Look for burnt components on the PCB. If present, replace the entire main control PCB.
