How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the tank before working on the base. Do not touch the transducer while powered.
Steps:
- Descale transducer: In the base, locate the ultrasonic transducer disc (metal circular plate). Soak the area with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water for 20–30 minutes, then gently scrub with a soft brush or cotton swab. Rinse and dry.
- Check water quality: Use distilled or demineralized water to reduce scale buildup and extend transducer life.
- Inspect wiring: Open the base (remove screws) and verify the transducer wires are firmly connected to the small driver board or main PCB.
- Test operation: Reassemble, refill, and power on. If E1 persists and no mist is produced, the transducer or driver circuit is likely defective.
- Replace transducer module: Install a new TaoTronics ultrasonic transducer assembly compatible with your model. If replacing the transducer does not resolve the error, the main control PCB may need replacement.
