Humidity Sensor Error (Humidifier)
Humidifier displays E2 and shuts off
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Failed onboard humidity sensor, Sensor blocked by condensation, Loose sensor connector, Faulty sensor circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier before opening the housing.
Steps:
- Dry the sensor: If the unit has been running at high output, condensation may form on the humidity sensor (often located near the air outlet). Turn the unit off and allow it to dry for several hours.
- Clean sensor area: Gently clean dust from the sensor vents with a soft brush.
- Inspect wiring: Open the housing and ensure the sensor module is firmly connected to the main PCB.
- Replace sensor: If E2 persists, replace the humidity sensor module. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control PCB is likely faulty.
