Humidifier displays F and stops producing mist

Safety: Unplug the humidifier before removing the tank.

Steps:

• Refill and reseat tank: Remove the water tank, fill it to the recommended level, and reinstall it carefully so it sits flat and engages any internal valve or pin.
• Check float: In the base of many TaoTronics humidifiers there is a plastic float that rises with water level. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by scale or debris. Clean with white vinegar if mineral deposits are present.
• Inspect level sensor: Locate the reed switch or micro-switch near the float. Check for loose wiring or corrosion.
• Replace faulty parts: If the float is damaged or the switch does not change state when the float moves, replace the float assembly or water level switch.
