Humidifier display and buttons work but unit shuts off randomly

Safety: Unplug before opening the housing.

Steps:

• Check external adapter: For models with an external AC adapter, test with a known-good adapter of the same voltage and current rating.
• Inspect wiring: Open the base and gently tug on connectors to ensure they are secure. Reseat any loose plugs.
• Tap test: With the unit running (and covers on), gently tap the housing. If it shuts off, suspect a loose connection or cracked solder joint on the main control PCB.
• Replace PCB or adapter: If wiring is secure but the issue persists, replace the power adapter or main control PCB as appropriate.
