Humidifier leaks water from the base or around the tank

Safety: Unplug the humidifier and wipe up spilled water.

Steps:

• Inspect tank: Remove the water tank and check for cracks, especially around seams and handle.
• Check cap and gasket: Examine the tank cap/valve assembly and rubber gasket. Replace if cracked, hardened, or deformed.
• Fill correctly: Do not exceed the maximum fill line. Overfilling can cause leaks through vents.
• Seat tank properly: Ensure the tank is placed straight and fully down into the base so the valve seals correctly.
• Replace tank: If the tank is cracked or warped, replace it with a compatible TaoTronics water tank for your model.
