Possible Causes
Clogged internal drain channel, Misaligned bucket, Kinked or improperly installed drain hose, Cracked bucket or drain pan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before tilting or disassembling. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- Level the unit: Ensure the dehumidifier is on a level surface. A tilt can cause water to spill instead of draining correctly.
- Check bucket: Remove the bucket and inspect for cracks or damage. Ensure it seats fully when reinstalled.
- Clean drain channel: With the bucket removed, locate the drain outlet at the back of the bucket cavity. Use a small brush or pipe cleaner to clear any slime or debris.
- Inspect drain hose (if used): Ensure the hose slopes downward continuously with no kinks. Tighten the connection at the drain port.
- Internal pan inspection (advanced): Remove the front cover and inspect the internal drain pan under the evaporator for cracks or misalignment. Replace the pan if damaged.
