Possible Causes

Faulty humidity sensor reading high, Stuck relay on main PCB, Incorrect humidity setpoint, Sensor not sensing room air properly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.

  • Check settings: Verify the humidity setpoint is not set too low. Adjust to around 45–50% RH.
  • Compare humidity: Use a separate hygrometer to compare actual room humidity to the unit’s display. If the unit reads much higher, the sensor may be faulty.
  • Sensor placement: Ensure the humidity sensor is not blocked or tucked inside the cabinet where it cannot sense room air.
  • Replace sensor: If readings are inaccurate, replace the humidity sensor assembly.
  • Relay check: If the compressor continues running even when the unit indicates it has reached setpoint or is off, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck and the board should be replaced.
