Possible Causes
Contaminated humidity sensor, Sensor drift due to age, Faulty sensor calibration on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning or replacing sensors.
- Verify with external meter: Compare the unit’s humidity reading with a separate hygrometer. If the unit reads much higher, the sensor may be dirty or drifting.
- Clean sensor area: Gently blow dust away from the sensor with compressed air. Avoid touching the sensor element directly.
- Replace sensor: If readings remain inaccurate or H1 persists, replace the humidity sensor module.
- Board replacement: If a new sensor does not correct the reading, the main PCB may require replacement.
